Der Törn war ein Hochzeitsgeschenk für einen Freund und da wir nur eine Woche Mitte Julli Zeit hatten, suchten wir eine Destination, die nötigenfalls auch mit dem Auto erreichbar war.
Trotz meiner mehr als 25 Jahren als Skipper, war ich bisher noch nie im Ionischen Meer unterwegs gewesen, wohl weil ich eher windreichere Gebiete wie die Ägäis oder die Canaren vorziehe. Meine Freunde hatten jedoch bisher keine Segelerfahrung, und da auch ein wenig Kultur auf dem Plan stand schien dieses Revier nach den Berichten von Kollegen optimal.
Eine Woche ist nicht sehr viel Zeit, so entschieden wir uns für eine Umrundung Korfus gegen den Uhrzeigersinn mit einem Abstecher zu den Inseln Paxos und Antipaxos sowie zum nahen Festland.
Um es zusammenzufassen: es wurde einer der schönsten Törns meines Lebens: wunderschöne Buchten, sauberes Wasser, kaum andere Boote (trotz des Termins!), gutes Essen, extrem freundliche Menschen und eine Charterbasis (sailyoursoul), die ich nur weiterempfehlen kann. Das Boot, eine Oceanis 331 Romantika mit einer Honeymoon-Heckkabine war ausreichend groß, in einem hervorragenden Zustand und zu einem wirklich fairen Preis zu haben.
