Friuli Venezia Giulia is a wonderful and characteristic region in the Northeast part of Adriatic, where East and West atmosphere meet each other. In this region the sea gives a sensation that can't be felt elsewhere. It looks like trying to touch the heart of Europe collecting Latin, Germanic and Slavic civilization around the same window on Mediterranean. It's the perfect place for spending holiday with children or in family mixing fun and relax. There is the lagoon zone near Grado or Marano with a lot of different animal species and hundred or thousand different birds. Just a little bit more to the east, from Duino to Trieste there are the white cliffs: a kingdom of small bays bordered by rocks, that can be reached by boats or hiking trails. All these paths show breathtaking views of the blue, descending through the fragrant Mediterranean vegetation such as the mythical Rilke walk. We can't forget, in the end, Barcarola's coast and the historical Trieste’s 'baths' (bathing establishment), where you can plunge in water very close to one wonderful central Eurpean town.
